In 2016, while on tour and chasing his dreams, Mark Beltran was violently assaulted and lost the sight in one eye. Most people would have gone home. Mark went back on stage.
He turned the eye patch into a signature, the trauma into a story, and the story into a show that has since played in 44 countries across four continents — from cobblestone squares in Poland to circus-tent venues in Belgium, from the streets of Switzerland to the festival stages of Canada.
Trained at the McBride Mystery School in Las Vegas and a former teaching assistant at the School of Busking in Cardiff, Mark blends world-class sleight of hand with raw crowd comedy — building circles of 100+ strangers into a single roaring audience, then detonating the finale with a blindfolded bullwhip.
A Filipino-Canadian performer with something real to say. The show travels anywhere and needs almost nothing to run.
